Wraparound Care
Wraparound care is the session offered after the School Nursery Session which runs from 9.00am - 11:55am every weekday morning at George Fentham Endowed School. The School Nursery sessions are for children that are 3 years old on 1st September of their admission year until the following Summer.
The wraparound session begins directly after the school nursery session at 11:55am and lasts until up to 6pm. The sessions are totally flexible (children can be booked in for as long as you need care, by the hour) and, as the nursery session is very structured, wraparound tends to be more relaxed. We work in conjunction with nursery staff to plan themes to reflect their morning activities and there is plenty of time for free play.
Children attending the wraparound session all sit together for lunch with at least two members of staff who are on hand to supervise the children. Unfortunately, due to restrictions enforced during Covid, each child will need a packed lunch provided, we are however, able to warm food where required.
The added advantages of the wraparound session include additional time for children to spend with their friends from the school nursery session as well as growing independence and integrating with pupils from older year groups.
If you are eligible for 30 hours free childcare through the Working Parents Scheme, 15 of these hours will be used to fund nursery, and the remaining 15 hours can be used for Wraparound. Any additional hours that are required will be charged at an hourly rate, please see details for pricing and how to book from the menus above.
